Before you begin
Check the codecs inside the source container and the requirements of the target player, editor, or device before converting.
Apple media applications can accept only supported combinations of container, video, and audio codecs. Test the MPG source in the current destination application before converting it; the filename extension alone does not determine compatibility.
When conversion is required, create an MP4 with H.264 and AAC for broad Apple-device playback. Match the source aspect ratio and frame rate, then verify picture and audio sync after adding one file to the library.

Three-step workflow

Add the source
Open LosslessConverter and select Add Files. Add the MPG or MPEG files and select the files required for this workflow.
Create a broadly compatible file
Open Output Format, select the Video group, and choose MP4. Start with Same as source, then change resolution only when the destination requires it.
Create the current output
Choose an output folder and select Start All. When processing finishes, add the MP4 files to the Apple media library and verify picture, audio, and sync on the intended Apple device.
