Before you begin
Check the disc structure, aspect ratio, audio, subtitles, and destination requirements before creating a copy.
Final Cut Pro does not import a DVD menu structure as ordinary editing media. Select the authorized title and create a ProRes MOV editing copy instead of copying individual VOB segments without confirming their order.
Preserve the DVD aspect ratio, frame rate, and field order unless the project intentionally changes them. Import one result and verify picture geometry, interlaced motion, audio, subtitles, and sync before processing the remaining titles.

Three-step workflow

Add the source
Open LosslessConverter and select Add Disc. Add the DVD disc, then select the required title, audio, and subtitle tracks.
Create editing-ready media
Open Output Format, select the Editing group, and choose ProRes. Select Same as source to retain the source dimensions; choose HD 1080P or HD 720P only when the project deliberately uses that resolution.
Create the current output
Choose an output folder and select Start All. When processing finishes, import the ProRes MOV file into Final Cut Pro and verify the selected title, aspect ratio, frame rate, picture, and audio.
