AVI is a container, so Premiere Pro compatibility depends on the video and audio codecs stored inside it. If a current Premiere Pro release cannot decode an AVI file, create an editing copy instead of installing an untrusted legacy codec pack.
Match the source resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio, and field order. Import one converted clip first and verify picture, audio, and sync before processing the remaining files.

Add the source
Open LosslessConverter and select Add Files. Add the AVI files and select the files required for this workflow.
Match the editing application
Open Output Format, select the Editing group, choose Premiere/VEGAS, and select MPEG-2. Match the resolution and frame rate to the editing sequence.
Create the current output
Choose an output folder and select Start All. When processing finishes, import the MPEG-2 files into Adobe Premiere Pro and verify picture, frame rate, field order, and audio.
