Before you begin
Keep the original camera folder when available, then confirm the recording mode, frame rate, and destination support before converting.
iMovie may reject isolated M2TS clips even when it can import the original AVCHD camera structure. ProRes MOV creates self-contained editing media for a current iMovie library.
Match the source resolution and frame rate, and check a short converted clip for motion, audio, and sync before processing the complete set. Keep the original M2TS files until the full batch has been verified.

Three-step workflow

Add the source
Open LosslessConverter and select Add Files. Add the M2TS or AVCHD clips and select the files required for this workflow.
Create editing-ready media
Open Output Format, select the Editing group, and choose ProRes. Select Same as source to retain the source dimensions; choose HD 1080P or HD 720P only when the project deliberately uses that resolution.
Create the current output
Choose an output folder and select Start All. When processing finishes, import the ProRes MOV files into iMovie and verify picture, frame rate, and audio.
