Panasonic HC-X900 AVCHD clips can use recording modes that are inconvenient to import as isolated files. Keep the original camera folder structure and create ProRes MOV editing copies when iMovie cannot ingest the clips directly.
Match the recorded resolution and frame rate, then test a short clip in iMovie before processing the complete shoot. Check motion carefully when the camera used a high-frame-rate recording mode.

Add the source
Open LosslessConverter and select Add Files. Add the Panasonic HC-X900 AVCHD clips and select the files required for this workflow.
Create editing-ready media
Open Output Format, select the Editing group, and choose ProRes. Select Same as source to retain the source dimensions; choose HD 1080P or HD 720P only when the project deliberately uses that resolution.
Create the current output
Choose an output folder and select Start All. When processing finishes, import the ProRes MOV files into iMovie and verify picture, frame rate, and audio.
