Before you begin
Check the disc structure, aspect ratio, audio, subtitles, and destination requirements before creating a copy.
iMovie does not import a DVD-Video disc as editable footage. Load the required title in LosslessConverter and create a ProRes MOV copy for a current iMovie library.
Preserve the source aspect ratio and frame rate to avoid stretched pictures or unnecessary cadence changes. Select the required audio and subtitle tracks before processing. For episodic discs, convert one title first to confirm the title order.

Add the source
Open LosslessConverter and select Add Disc. Add the DVD disc, then select the required title, audio, and subtitle tracks.
Create editing-ready media
Open Output Format, select the Editing group, and choose ProRes. Select Same as source to retain the source dimensions; choose HD 1080P or HD 720P only when the project deliberately uses that resolution.
Create the current output
Choose an output folder and select Start All. When processing finishes, import the ProRes MOV file into iMovie and confirm playback, audio, and the intended title before editing.
