iMovie cannot read a physical Blu-ray disc as editable media. Load the required title in LosslessConverter and create a ProRes MOV file that iMovie can import as normal editing footage.
Keep the source frame rate and resolution unless the iMovie project requires another format. Confirm the selected title, audio, and subtitles before processing a long disc. A short preview conversion can confirm that the intended feature and language tracks are selected.

Three-step workflow

Add the source
Open LosslessConverter and select Add Disc. Add the Blu-ray disc, then select the required title, audio, and subtitle tracks.
Create editing-ready media
Open Output Format, select the Editing group, and choose ProRes. Select Same as source to retain the source dimensions; choose HD 1080P or HD 720P only when the project deliberately uses that resolution.
Create the current output
Choose an output folder and select Start All. When processing finishes, import the ProRes MOV file into iMovie and confirm playback, audio, and the intended title before editing.
